The Top Priorities for America in 2010

In the wake of learning that 75 percent of the country thinks the stimulus was a waste, here’s a look (larger after the jump) at how the American public ranks the top priorities of 2010, according to a recent Pew study

Would you accept a reasoned argument?  Hard, scientific evidence of God is hard to come by, even for theologians.
And for kicks, what say you to the theories of the Un-Caused Cause and First Mover?

I’ll accept reasoned arguments (arguments constructed well) as valid arguments. But just because an argument is valid doesn’t mean I will accept it for my own moral beliefs. Example: Someone gives me a reasoned argument for why Hitler’s genocide of the Jewish people was beneficial.

Lucky for you, took a philosophy of religion class last year and I know exactly what you mean. I say: The cosmological argument for the existence of God is a STRONG argument but lacks sufficient evidence for a truth. Meaning there’s no guarantee.

Also this type of argument fails to identify anything about the conclusion (God). It simply would conclude that there is something that caused the first act of motion but never reveals what. I call this the “this we call God” argument for those who believe in a higher being.

In Response to my Quote I Just posted below:

I completely disagree with China. Cyberspace cannot obey foreign countries traditions and laws because it is not part of the real world, but virtual world. Private companies, like Google, who operate in the virtual world are not mandated to respect other countries.

It is up to the nation to regulate themselves. If they are not satisfied; they can devise another solution. Architect another search engine specifically made for the Chinese or something. The Chinese need to stop piggybacking off Google.

Things I Believe In

I’ve gotten a few emails in this last year when people would tell me they love my picture posts but dislike it when I start to post personal things or things that are happening in my life. This bothers me a lot since I don’t plan on changing my posts and that people are criticizing my personal posts; usually for things I believe in/critize about.

I’d rather have followers who either agree with me, can tolerate with what I post, or just don’t care. Stop emailing me just to complain. Just unfollow and carry on.

Things I believe in:

  • I support same sex marriage because everyone is entitled to the same rights regardless of sexual orientation.
  • I do not have an opinion on abortion since I will never get pregnant.
  • I believe there are extraterrestrials living somewhere in the universe.

Don’t Really Care…

I’ve been reading and watching the news about a ton of what is considered “big news” and frankly a lot of the information presented are topics I don’t have an interest for. I made a short list with explanations of things I don’t really care about that some might consider to be their whole world. Not everyone likes the same thing. Opinions and comments will be unread and ignored. *smiley face*

  1. Reading the book before watching the movie:
I hate reading and I’ll do whatever I can to not read. In H.S. I got audiobooks because reading is so boring and always puts me to sleep. ALWAYS. I see nothing wrong if a movie changes a few things from the book to make it more captivating for views. Take the new upcoming movie “Where the Wild Things Are,” obviously producers are going to make up some stuff to compensate for the fact the actual book is maybe 1000 words total. If I hadn’t read the book before the movie, I wouldn’t care, because the movie made it visually appealing.

  2. Football & Basketball:
“WTF” you might say. Well I say “meh.” Football and Basketball are the two sports I find boring. Take Football for example. The team runs a few feet and stops. Runs some more and stops. HOW IS THAT ENTERTAINING? Whatever. Next channel please.

  3. Gay Culture:
Even though I’m gay, I don’t really care about the gay culture that comes with it. I feel it’s completely unnecessary. Being gay is an orientation, not a lifestyle. With that said, you won’t find me at pride parades or any other gay exclusive events. I don’t want to flaunt my gayness. I understand the idea around celebrating homosexually since it was seen as wrong for so long, but even that isn’t enough to convince me. (excludes recent DC March since that was a push for equal rights).

  4. Hollywood Celebrities:
I don’t keep up with celebrity gossip because it’s pretty much useless information. How would knowing the marriage of some celebrity effect my life?Like when Michael Jackson died, I was like… “okay, he’s dead… cool. Let’s move on.” That comment didn’t sit well with MJ fans. But it’s not my fault. I never liked him or his music in the first place. The only exception is probably celebrity attractiveness. But even with that, I wouldn’t dedicate a whole website to them. Maybe a post or two that’s it.

  5. YOUR OPINIONS:
Not specifically your opinions all the time, just the ones that are completely irrational and ludicrous. Usually the case when a sentence ends with “because God told me” or some kind of reasoning that has no end.

Never Apologize

The post that you chose to put up reflects what you like or are interested in.

You should not apologize for your post. If someone finds it offensive… they should move on. It’s only a quick scroll down to the next post.

You can’t please everyone.
