Here is my attempts to summarize as many great novels in history in 3 sentences or less.

Family drive to California. The weather sucks.

Out of This Furnace by Thomas Bell
Guy works in a steel mill. Son dies. Everyone is pissed.

Tess of the D’Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy
Girl has sex. She dies.

The Jungle by Upton Sinclair
Meat falls on the ground. They cook it anyways. People puke.

Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad
Man goes on a boat trip into the jungle or something. He is lonely. Man realizes humans are evil inside.

Woman at Point Zero by Nawal El Saadawi
Girl is a whore. Girl isn’t a whore. Girl is a whore…but for a “good” cause.

Leaves of Grass by Walt Whitman
A guy writes poems about Abe Lincoln and flowers.

The Color Purple by Alice Walker
Two sisters write letters to each other. One gets too personal and writes about her “button.”

Republic by Plato
A group of people are in a cave looking at a shadow.

Walden by Henry David Thoreau
Man spends too much time by a pond. He thinks. He leaves the pond.

The Man in the Iron Mask by Alexandre Dumas
A king has an identical twin. The other twin becomes king. Everyone is happy.

Moby-Dick by Herman Melville
A guy goes fishing on a boat. He goes nuts over a whale. The whale’s name is Moby Dick.

The Stranger by Albert Camus
Guy gets hot. Guy shoots another guy. He doesn’t care.

Summer by Edith Wharton
The girl is a selfish whore. Get’s knocked up. Marries a man who’s like her father.

Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka
Man turns into a giant bug. Everyone hates him but then is okay with it. He dies.

Harry Potter (All) by J.K. Rowling
A wizard and his friends fights a bad guy. 

The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
Man flaunts his money. Man falls in love. Someone dies, I forget.

Heading into finals weeks which means a load of stress. Luckily I have amazing friends and a great boyfriend to take my mind off it all. This week, school. Next week, cleaning up and packing for my vacation. I'm not sure when I'll be back exactly, but I'll hop on Tumblr as soon as I can.
